Hello and Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening, Blenders!
How're you all doing today? How're you feeling? How them workouts been treatin ya?
I hope everything's going well for you!
It's bitterly cold here currently (-4 degrees F) and about the only good thing about that is the cool ice crystals that form on everything as the air freezes. So I thought I'd share a pic of that today, as it settled on a jack pine cone.
I'll admit this bitter cold stretch we're going into is completely typical this time of year, but I'm also so over it! It's supposed to last well into next week too. It generally means either very very short, or no, walks with my dogs. Which I think is affecting me more than them. I gotta go outside and play! I can't stay inside like this! ha
How's the weather in your part of the world, Blendies? Are you enjoying it? Taking advantage of it and getting outside when you can? (Barring COVID restrictions, that is.)
And even if you can't get outside, are you keeping up with some workouts? What do you have planned for today? Something to get the blood flowin, or maybe something to cool it down?
I'm going to do this lower body routine with the resistance band: https://www.fitnessblender.com/videos/resistance-band-workout-with-hiit-cardio-banded-lower-body-strength-workout . Usually I'd go for a more pure strength routine, but going back to the bitter cold temps, my knees are not good lately. I find that band workouts actually make my knees feel better immediately. So, I'm going to try to incorporate more resistance band work to hopefully keep them a bit happier.
And what about some good food goin on today, Blendfriends? What's on the menu?
I should really have something more planned, but I don't! We'll probably have eggs, which are our go-to quick supper. Caz if my chickens are still gonna lay 75+ eggs a week in the dead of winter, then I'm gonna have eggs for supper! (Thanks, chickens!)
