While it can be difficult to appreciate, we all have ups and downs when it comes to our fitness levels. To get the most out of your workouts and to reduce your risk of injury or overtraining, it is so important to listen to your body, stay carefully tuned in to where you are (physically and mentally) as you dive into an exercise, and adjust accordingly.
If you need to take things a bit easier, there is no shame in that. Do the best you can. If you feel like you have a bit more energy, try ramping things up a bit (safely, of course).
The bottom line is that you remain compassionate with yourself and remember that what you are doing will have benefits to your health and wellbeing. Give yourself a high-five!
