Advice on Covid 19 After Effects

Hi Blenders,

I'm reaching out because I really need some help now with nutrition. I had covid about 2 months ago, and thankfully it was pretty mild and after being sick for a few days I felt better, just tired.

I didn't lose my taste and smell right away. All I ate was toast but that's normal for when you're sick. About a week or two later I lost my smell but I thought I was still able to taste but maybe not as well. I did notice myself drinking way more cocoas though. For a few weeks I couldn't smell and then slowly I started smelling things again. I could not smell perfume before at all.

Then when I thought I was all better I ate dinner out one night and I thought there was something wrong with the food. There was this terrible aftertaste. The next night my mom made chicken for dinner and it had that same horrible smell. I tried a piece of fish today with the same results. I stayed away from the table for the rest of the meal because I couldn't stand the smell. Everything I eat has the same horrible smell. The only thing I can tolerate is bread like food and sugar. I have a roll for lunch every day, cocoas, chocolate, coke, candy...

I'm getting very worried. I haven't worked out much in the last little while but at least I thought I was being somewhat healthy. The last year I've kind of maintained some sort of healthy lifestyle and I try to workout. If I don't like healthy food though I don't know what I'm going to do. I really don't know what to do. I used to be so unhealthy, drink lots of soda...I don't want to go back there. Does anyone have any advice on what to do?
