Well I’ll start with the bad news, I tested positive for covid-19 and have been symptomatic since last Friday. I believe my symptoms to be mild at this time. But I’m certainly miserable. I was half-way through the Fit 2-week challenge and was working out up until I realized I was sick.
Before that I completed the kickboxing challenge and loved it. I didn’t suffer from any extra upper-body fatigue like others have noted. But I was also trying to be aware of that as I went through it.
So I’ve seen some posts in the community and the New York Times article about lasting side effects from covid and training. But I figured I’d open the discussion up again. My plan is to recover and take my time to make sure I’m fully recovered before exercising again. I was thinking I may start back with the short and sweet challenge to see. I may also make an appointment with a doctor to make sure I’m recovered enough for exercise.
Have y’all dealt with this? Do you have any thoughts on working out after covid or any other articles you can direct me to?
