Hello all you lovely blenderbuddies, đź‘»Lea doing the checkin. I hope this checkin finds you all happy and healthy and raring to go or raring to rest or whatever it is that is on the cards for you today!
It’s 5 o’clock in the afternoon, so a bit of a late checkin. That’s because I had a lovely busy day.... the photo shows some of what my day entailed: a scots pine on the left, with a pic of a maritime pine on the right. The main difference is the size of the needles. The maritime pine has needles up to 20 cm long, their cones are also much bigger than the scots pine, which as you can see has much shorter needles. Both pines though are invasive in England and need to be removed from the areas of heatland. The seeds of both types spread via the wind. If left unchecked, the heathland turns into forest. Also the pines bring acidity to the soil which is bad for the heathland plants and wildlife, hence the need for their removal! Which brings me to our next topic: workouts.... Why?!
Well my workout consisted of 4 and 1/2 hours of pine removal from the heathland! There were quite a few big trees, which meant lots of sawing, rather than lopping! Towards the end of the day I was helping to push quite a major tree so that the sawing was made easier for my friend! This tree was pretty massive, so my body started talking to me: “excuse me, what the hell do you think you are doing?!”.... did your body talk to you today? Does it ever? Or does it talk to you every day? What were you up to today workoutwise? Happily resting, happily lifting, happily hiiting or happily cardioing??? Tell me what you did, are doing or will be doing today! I know for some of you there is a 1000cal workout planned! Good luck with that. I am sooo not joining you!
Food: sorry no beautifully linked sentence.... what is your way of sustaining yourself today? Lots of clean food, some cheats or a big feast? Hubby’s cooking, so I don’t know what we are having for dinner. But for lunch I had.... YAY jacket potato cooked on the pine bonfire! We have that every year before Christmas and somehow those jacket potatoes in tinfoil on your lap sitting in the gorgeous outdoors taste the best! Photo in the comments! Anyway: your sustenance today? Are you cooking for yourself? Is someone else cooking for you? Or are you not cooking at all? Or maybe even a takeaway... there are loads of possibilities to get the nourishments we need!
Hope you are all keeping safe and enjoying your day. Looking forward to reading all about your day!
