Weekend Ghost Check-in: Saturday November 28

Hello, Blenders, and welcome to the weekend! It's a super duper weekend, too. That is because it is the weekend between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and there are sales, sales, sales. If you've been thinking about trying a program or a meal plan, now's your chance! Or how about a free week's trial of FB Plus?

My theme for this weekend - because I do like to have a theme, though there's no expectation for you to join in - is Trying Something New. I like to try new things. So far this year I have gone back to uni, learnt to make a few different styles of face mask, and started practising handstands. Next year I'm planning to start bike riding.

How about you? Are you a person who likes to do new things, or do you prefer to stick with your known routine and way of life? Have you tried anything new this year, and how did it go?

And how about this weekend specifically? Any new activities? A new workout, new program, new goals or plans for the upcoming weeks?

I just got my workout complete with a new (for me) 1000 cal workout: https://www.fitnessblender.com/videos/1000-calorie-workout-video-hiit-strength-training-abs-and-obliques-workout-to-burn-1000-calories It's heaps of fun, definitely one of my favourites. It's also Michele and Magda's monthly 1000 cal workout party, so if you're still looking for workout ideas, come and join in!

And how about food? Are you a person who cooks tried and true recipes, or do you like to make something a bit different? Unfortunately for my family, I am of the latter group - I much prefer to try a new recipe. Today's was miso chicken with cucumber (but not watercress) salad. It was pretty good! What's on the menu for you today?

Today's photo is a snippet of my day. Carrot cake loaf baked for lunch boxes this week (a new recipe as usual), my post-1000-cal-workout snack, and the pumpkin that is going to become my first ever pumpkin pie.

Come and check in with me! I'm looking forward to hearing about your weekends, and your new experiences - or lack thereof.
