Grandpa has Covid :(

Hi FB Family,

Last week, my grandpa was tested for COVID-19 after returning to California from Colorado. The results came back negative, and I spent the weekend with my grandparents. Yesterday, both me and my grandfather began experiencing symptoms. My grandfather is 75, with bad symptoms, and he has several health problems, including diabetes and heart problems. He was also a smoker for most of his life. So, he was tested using the rapid results test, and he indeed has COVID. The test he took last week was false, meaning I was exposed to the virus for 48 hours. I was tested today, and while the results come in two days, the doctor told me that my symptoms indicate that I most likely contracted the virus. Now my siblings and parents have also been exposed. My throat hurts, my body aches, and I can barely taste anything. And I'm young and healthy.

I wanted to share this not only to ask for prayers for my grandpa, who is doing far worse than I, but to also remind you to please stay safe. I haven't seen my friends and most family since March 18. I tried to be very, very careful, but one mistake and whoops-- I might have it! I'm not concerned for myself, but for my grandpa who is in a hospital room alone right now. This virus is real. It's not political. It's not pretty. I'm a teenager; If I can follow the rules, so can all the adults that I've seen breaking them, and all the kids my age who are partying every weekend. Please; stay at home and be careful. ❤️
