Weight loss

I wanted to share that I've been working out for 4 yrs with FB and some others. I quit smoking nearly 7 yrs ago and of course gained that dreaded weight. Quite a bit, actually. I was working out 3 to 5 days a week with zero movement on the scale. No matter how little I ate or how much I worked out I didn't lose even a pound.

I finally went to see a nutrition counselor and figured out my problem. I WASN'T eating enough. In my quest to lose weight I was only taking in about 900 calories a day. My metabolism was in the toilet. That lack of nutrition doesn't help you at all. My counselor got me on a regular and healthy meal schedule and since my body now trusts that I'm going to give it what it needs it has let go of some of that extra weight. 23 pounds so far!!

Please know that not eating enough is just as much a problem as eating too much. My metabolism has increased in a major way. I'm eating about 4 to 5 times a day. Very small meals. I dont restrict anything. I am simply mindful of the things I'm eating. I drink a ton of water and feel so much better knowing what I've accomplished and knowing that I did it the right way.
