Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening/Night Everyone!
I hope you all are having/had an amazing day! Always remember anyone is welcome to join in and leave a comment. Don't be shy. We're always listening, willing to help and will respond when we can. We'd love to hear your thoughts. Don't be afraid to leave any long comment either. 😁
I woke up this morning to a huge spider crawling on my curtains next to my bed. Okay it wasn't that big but it was a lot bigger than the ones that normally end up in here. For some reason every good while I find small black spiders in my bedroom. Not sure why. It isn't an infestation or anything thank goodness. Sorry for all of you who don't like or are afraid of spiders. I just wanted to share that little story...😅. I ended up killing it because my sister is one of those people who are scared of spiders. I wouldn't say I hate them they just appear at the worst places you know?
Anyway, onward to the quote of the day. Instead of going online to find one today I decided to make one up myself. Okay this quote I'm sure you guys have heard before but I'm putting it in my own words.
"Just because someone says you can't do something, doesn't mean it isn't possible for you."
Basically if you're struggling to do something and it may even be more than the average person struggles with and someone comes along and downgrades you saying you can't that doesn't mean it's true. We've all been there haven't we? We've all been downgraded or sometimes even been the ones doing the downgrading or even putting ourselves down. What is that doing in the end? One of two things most likely: People will give up believing they can't OR people will gain the "motivation" to prove that or those people wrong. I feel like instead of doing it to prove them wrong do it to prove yourself wrong. Do it because you can or if it's something you won't be able to do at all (we all have that one thing or few things that I guess you could say we can't do at all or just aren't good at) and that's fine. What matters is you did your best and really that's all you can do.
This reminds me of a time back in I believe I was in elementary school. My parents bought me and my brother bikes to ride. My brother caught on to riding it pretty quickly. He even mastered riding while standing up. To this day I never understood the logic on how people manage to do that. How?! If anyone knows the secret by all means let me know. To this day I'm curious. Anywho back to the story 😁...we went to the middle school that I was going to go to parking lot to learn (don't worry it was summer vacation there were no cars there). At the same time my dad was teaching my mom to drive. They took one side of the parking lot while my brother and I took the other. My brother was riding around like it was nothing. I was struggling so hard to even find my balance and go forward. Each time I managed to turn the pedals in one full circle I lost my balance every time. Each time my parents drove by us they saw my brother having a good time riding while trying to help me and I was still struggling. My parents weren't very encouraging. They kept questioning why my brother was so good and I couldn't be like him, why I was having such a hard time, why am I so bad, I'll never be able to do it. When my parents do that I can never tell if that's just their way of trying to motivate us or if they're truly trying to insult us. To this day I still don't know but at that moment I broke down really feeling like trash. I honestly started believing I would never be able to learn how to ride my bike. My brother, however, isn't the kind of sibling to put me down if I can't do something. He rode over to me and told me, "Don't listen to them. You CAN do it. It takes time. If you don't do it today that's fine. You can always try again another day." That made me feel a lot better BUT I was DETERMINED to at least go forward even if was a few inches. So I got up and tried again. I was also determined to prove my parents wrong. In the end I ended up doing it. To this day I can't stand and ride but I did manage to figure out how to ride. My parents did end up being proud of me but come on be more encouraging please. 😂
What about you guys? Do you have any experiences like this that you'd like to share? What do you think about this quote?
What workouts are you guys doing today? Any favorites? Any try out the new "Routines" section and make a routine that they're doing? Anyone resting? Chilling? Relaxing? More importantly....Does anyone have any food pictures? Please share and make us hungry! 😂😁
