Daily Check-In: Sunday, September 6th (Ghost Edition)
Hello, hello! How is everyone doing this Sunday? The heatwave continues here, so I'm sharing a picture of some coconut milk ice cream I made: cinnamon with caramel running through it. I thought it looked nice against the marble counter.
I'm laying low today, mostly. There's a wildfire in a nearby area and unfortunately it's a bit smoky out, so best to stay indoors today, I think. I'll do some stretching but otherwise Sundays are for resting anyway.
So what's on the menu today? I'll be having some of that ice cream and some other not-too-hot foods like hummus and veggies or avocado toast.
For a Sunday bonus question: what do you like to do on holiday weekends? I usually try to stay close to home and avoid places I think would be crowded. I made the mistake yesterday of going to the beach with this heatwave, and it was so crowded we couldn't even park. Lesson re-learned! I'll be staying home today and tomorrow and enjoying my AC (which I'm feeling VERY lucky to have!)
