HKS (Healthy, Kind, Support) Accountability Group September 2nd

It’s already mid-week, blendfriends. What have you planned for today? Will it be an active day, a full rest day, or an active rest day? And what’s on the menu? I’ll be continuing the Kickboxing challenge today and I’ll be having my favourite peanut butter on toast with a banana for breakfast, tofu nems for lunch (pictured above) and tomato soup with a grilled cheese sandwich for supper. It’s a rainy day and there’s nothing better than soup in such weather.

As a reminder, everyone is welcomed to post at any time and add to these discussions. Share your workouts, your thoughts, anything at any time 🙂

Here is a quote I wanted to share:

“Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars” by Norman Vincent Peale

I discovered this quote while looking for positive thoughts to post weekly for our employees and it has become one of my all-time favourite quotes. I love the imagery behind it. To me it says to aim higher, and just the effort itself makes you better, always.

Do you have this kind of mentality when you set goals for yourself? To go further, to constantly ask more of yourself and push your limits? And not just relating to fitness, but with regards to other aspects of your life as well, like work, developing better habits, taking up new hobbies or challenges, etc.

I am in a phase in my life where I am setting more goals for myself. Fitness is at the heart of it, but also creating daily habits to keep a tidier home, for example. I am at peace when there is no clutter, yet I let clutter creep in. So step by step, room by room, I aim to become free of clutter. And like the quote said, even if just the kitchen is done for now, that room brings me peace of mind.

Hope you find some inner peace today.
