In both of the fitnessblender meal plans, they use a lot of granola. The notes say to find one that is 200 calories/cup. I have NEVER found one that even comes close to that. Even a cup of plain rolled oats is 300 calories... Is this a typo? Or is there some unicorn granola our there that fits this narrow calorie budget that I have yet to discover? I have just been omitting the granola because the varieties I have found (even home made) are usually at least double that amount and those extra calories add up quick! I love granola, and I'd love to be able to eat it without being afraid.
To those of you that will tell me to make my own, I do that, but as I mentioned above even home made I can never figure out how to get it to be 200 calories a cup (plain oats are 300 calories a cup)...
I have even calculated the calories of fitnessblenders own granola recipe and it doesn't work out to 200 calories/cup....
