I’ve been thinking of some funny and serious reasons for why I personally workout. Feel free to add to the list!!
Reasons I Work Out (in no particular order)
1. Better aerobic capacity
2. Improve breathing
3. More energy
4. More muscle
5. Less fat
6. Lessen chances for Type 2 Diabetes, heart disease, cancer, etc
7. Lower Blood pressure
8. Increase cognitive function
9. Increase memory
10. Enough long capacity to sing/scream through full concerts/sports games(once it’s safe)
11. Improve balance
12. Become strong enough to lift big dogs and cats
13. Become strong enough to give kids(and adults) piggy back rides without getting tired
14. Potentially(?) have enough skill to do a cartwheel
15. Have more patience
16. Can no longer receive stares for wearing workout clothes/athleisure 24/7
17. Better immune function
18. Liking your look/spend hours staring at your reflection(in self awe)
19. Finally use those tennis shoes sitting in your closet for years
20. Get a high enough fitness level to survive a zombie apocalypse
21. Or the Hunger Games
22. Can (probably) skateboard(or get the balance to)
23. Climb monkey bars (potentially)
24. Actually enjoy ridiculously grueling hiking trips(nature+views+gains)
25. Can carry kids/adults and furniture
26. Go up and down stairs without tiring(with Covid pushing us away from elevators, this is really important)
27. Can play football, volleyball, soccer, basketball, [insert sport here] without getting tiring
28. Can hold your breathe under water for really long
29. Get a chance to vibe or jam to your favorite playlist
30. Sleep better
