Looking for some knee health advice...

Years of high impact sports have given me what I call my “crunchy knee” — during squats and lunges (or just getting up from a seat, for that matter) it crackles like a bowl of Rice Crispies. It doesn’t necessarily hurt but it is uncomfortable and I know it is an indication of future issues if I’m not careful.

Does anyone have sound advice on how to protect it but still be able to continue pushing myself in the lower body workouts I have come to love?
