I just finished fb fit 2 program. This was my first round . I have done fit 1 thrice previously. Although there is always a risk of getting bored with the 8 week programs ( happens with fb 30 for me every single time } , I finished fit 2 with lot of enthusiasm throughout.
So the basic structure is same as all other mixed programs.. 2 days upper body , 2 days lower body ,1 day core with cardio.. there is 1 week of total body workouts .. so in that week it is total body strength thrice a week, interspersed with cardio sessions
Average length of the workouts is around 45 to 50 mins..with extra credit can extend up to 1 hr .. there are 2 1000 kcal workouts. The biggest difference from fit 1 is that it’s more strength focused. Obviously there is HIIT /cardio on the lower body and core days ..so the ratio of cardio : strength must be about 45:55.. in fit 1 there are three weeks of cardio / total body workout kind of pattern . And overall , it definitely has more cardio than fit 2. Probably 60:40.
I am really not a fan of compound total body exercises (like dead lift reverse fly, lunge with tricep extension etc ).. also I really get bored on days which have plain cardio with no HIIT or strength.. so I definitely liked fit 2 more. Although for fat loss may be fit 1 would be more effective.. due to all the cardio.. fit 1 has relatively older videos than fit 1. There were some 7-8 videos which were present in both the programs. But in the course of 8 long weeks it’s really doesn’t matter. And 4 videos got repeated from week 1 to week 7.
Overall highly recommended for endurance and lean muscle building. My diet has not been quite health, so I didn’t really see any weight loss. But I lifted heavy throughout and totally enjoyed the experience. 👍
