FB Strong - PROGRAM COMPLETE!

I started this program on March 31st. I was determined to finish by 5/15. (you'll note that did not happen, but 2 stomach bugs I did not plan on) Here is what I learned doing this program:

1. Even though I am squarely within the 2-3 difficulty range, I was able to complete the program with some low impact mods, and a couple of substitutions of lower body band workouts for weights when my knees were cranky.

2. It is SO worth it, even though it was "beyond" my usual capabilities.

3. Definite improvements in strength as measured by both weight lifted and how many sets of steps before I am tired (I work in a hospital so there a lots of steps)

3a. Also I noticed how much better I was able to perform exercises lthat I could accomplish previously (e.g., cat/cow). I really could feel my muscles engaging more and much less fatigue!

4. Total body strength leaves me wasted for at least two days.

5. Even thougt I have gained some weight due to shelter in place orders*, I think the FB Strong improved my tone enough that I broke even based on my most fitted pair of pants continuing to fit appropriately.

6. Most weeks I met my goal of working out 4x weekly. Next, I'm going for 4x weekly four weeks in a row : ) (baby steps)

7. My overall energy (except the week of total body strength workouts) and sleep also improved.

Next goal: I have started Low Impact several times, I'm going to finish it and then on to Bored Easily.

Future goal: to do FB Strong again and not need 2-3 days to recuperate : )

Thanks for letting me celebrate here!

Thanks so much for all you do FB!

I like to say that you're keeping my kids from having to pick me up off the floor when I'm in my 80s!
