Daily Check-in: Fitness Friday, April 10th #StayConnected Challenge DAY FIVE!

Well how about it, Blenders? We've gone through this week and made it to another Friday. And a Good Friday at that. So maybe that's a little something to smile about. Another week down, closer to those goals. Or just making it through the week in one piece. Either way somehow, some way, workouts (and/or the very important rest) are happening. So let's talk about how we are accomplishing that!

Some of us are achieving sweat and moving around via challenges, such as the #StayConnected challenge. Officially we are on day five, but that doesn't mean that's where you are. Behind or ahead, or something else; doesn't matter! The point is that we keep on moving together. But for those who are on day five doing the community challenge, how are those legs from yesterday? If they are sore, it's a good thing we are wrapping up the week with a sweet upper body session: https://www.fitnessblender.com/videos/upper-body-strength-workout-guaranteed-muscle-burnout

Kim has delivered some nice and toasty routines for us nearly everyday this week, so I expect the same for today. I've enjoyed this entire week she put together, and if you have as well, you know who to thank! And I look forward for the fun to continue because this challenge is two weeks. So we are very close to being halfway done. You all are doing great! And if you feel the need for it, there is an active recovery for you on day six: https://www.fitnessblender.com/videos/relaxing-total-body-stretching-workout-for-stress-relief-and-better-sleep-before-bed-stretches

And to get a look ahead at what's coming up on week two and for all the details, check out this post that explains pretty much everything: https://www.fitnessblender.com/community/discussion/18306/official-stayconnected-community-challenge-schedule

As far as food; it's a pizza kinda night for me. Like you all didn't see that coming. Hah, I could go on about how much I love and look forward to the homemade goodness, but I'll just stick to the script I don't have and enjoy the upper body credit I will get from kneading dough, then enjoy smell of pizza coming together, and the taste that is so satisfying.. Ah, but what about you? What are you looking forward to? Give those mouths and tongues a nice meet and great.

Something you won't be eating is that Brownhair Snoutbean up there, which has nothing to do with anything other than to make you wonder who comes up with these names. Hey, I'm just the messenger who is now going straight into a Fitness Friday here by talking about something good for Good Friday. It's just a little way we can focus a bit more on the positive side. So for this week, what good thing has happened lately that you can smile and feel good about? Doesn't have to be huge. Doesn't even have to be fitness related. Just think about something good in your life right now. A little bit of real life mini happy place, if you will. One good thing for me (I'm not going to say pizza, I promise) is going on a walk with my FTs. I actually smile towards the wind and feel more relaxed when I look at the sky and trees. It's a part of my day that is just plain good. But give me your goods! That last sentence didn't come out weird one bit. Autocorrect was all like I didn't need an "S" on the end of good, but I most certainly did!

Alright, I'll see myself out and will see you guys on Monday where we will be on week two of the community challenge! On a check-in programming note, Alexi has graciously agreed to take over and ghost the weekend check-in. She's a first time ghoster so we can all look forward to a little blend up. Because we are blenders, so naturally we just...blend. You know what, nevermind. Enjoy the ghosting, Alexi! You will do great, I'm sure!

And being this is a holiday weekend, with Easter on Sunday, I wish you all a happy and healthy Easter. I hope you make the most of it from the comfort of your homes and holding on to that SD6.. There will be many future events and holidays to look forward to, but I hope you find a nice and special way to celebrate this one! But for now, take care and have a good one!
