So this week was a funny one for me. I am doing FB 30 rd 1, this week is week 4. Monday came round (my first day of the workout week) and I just couldn't face the scheduled HIIT and strength.
Managed to do some pilates and a little LI though.
Tuesday I felt really low, couldn't even get out of bed and couldn't push through just had to go with it and watch some questionable TV.
Onto Weds and I did the belated HIIT and Strength (all good.) Then today I had this pop up;
Now UB and Core are my least favourite, mainly as they are my 'weakest' areas. I spent about 20 minutes searching for an alternative as it just looked so darn hard! In the end I just decided to try it and am so glad I did!
With the exceptions of the pike push up (which would have seen a trip to casualty for me for sure!) and the windshield wipers (as I was in a tiny space) I actually did it! Was convinced it would all be way beyond me but I managed it! or at least a version of it with a few little tweaks. In the process I discovered I can curl 14 lbs per hand (up from 10) and do a full backbow (used to have to have arms by head) admittedly it wasn't high but it was a backbow!
I know it sounds odd but it has made my week! I feel really accomplished and my mood has sky rocketed. As Kelli and Daniel tell us; never underestimate the power of a good workout. I really must stop saying 'I can't' so much.
Thank you to anyone who made it to the end of the long, long ramble! I just needed to get this out there
When you find out you CAN do it! (sort of.......)
Hello blenders!
Hope you are all staying safe.
