Daily Check-in: Thursday, April 9th #StayConnected Challenge DAY FOUR
So here we are standing, sitting or laying down somewhere on another lovely Friday Eve. And with that comes a Venus Looking Glass. Again it's another one of those wildflower weeds. But the common name is a bit misleading as it more or less describes its European relative in how the super shiny seeds look like tiny mirrors or looking glasses. There; you are now armed with some random tidbit that will probably fall to the back of the brains closet.. in anyway, it has a cool name so it is certainly more wildflower than weed, yeah? It's all about perspective...or location.
But let's get it on with our workouts today! Or rest if that is how we are partying today. Pro tip: If you want things to sound more fun and enjoyable, put "party" after some words. Rest party. Yes! Quarantine party? Why not!? Food party? I'm there! Laundry folding party? Okay! Washing dishes party? Sure! Workout party? Of course! Try it and come back and tell me that it's not all just about the wording 😂
But we do infact have a workout party happening right now. The #StayConnected community challenge! Some of us are behind or ahead in the challenge, others are in the doing something else camp, and then there's some of us looking at day four. I hope your lower body is ready for this!
Loos like another great day ahead! So for anyone doing the #StayConnected Challenge, how are you liking it so far? I've been sore every day this week, including my abs, which is always difficult, so I'm loving it! And you all are just hands down killing it with your modifications and making the challenge work for you! Now we are on to the yummy stuff. The nutritious yums that will power us through the day and bring comfort to our souls. Food really does have a lot to live up to, doesn't? So what are to eating today? I think clearing some leftovers from the fridge is a good option today, but what about you?
And right quick, this is the day, I usually announce and ask who would like to ghost (guest host) the weekend check-ins. To pull from the pool, Alexi g is next! Is that okay, Alexi? Let me know if you would like to be a guest host this weekend. And as always, feel free to speak up if you're interested in ghosting on Saturday and Sunday. Right now I've got Lea, Coby and Korse. There's plenty of room, so don't be shy. Like I've said, there's no wrong way to do a check-in. Plus we can all benefit from the variety, I'm sure!
I'm also sure I need to get on outta here. So to sum it all up, thanks for reading and checking in if you so desire. I hope your day has at least one good thing in it, even if it was only 5 minutes. Find a little something to get lost in. A little break from the world if you can. It can be nice to have that little forced pause and sorta reset so you can better face any obstacles.
