Daily Check-in: Fitness Friday, January 31st

Hello beautiful people! I can't believe I'm writing to you on this last day of January in 2020. But no! We shall not acknowledge how much time has been working out so diligently and therefore building its speed. We shall instead focus on our Friday and everything it has to offer. One offer being an orange blossom from one of my citrus trees. Citrus flowers are one of my favorite smells on earth. Yes, mango and other flowers are very nice and do have heavenly smells, but something about the citrus speaks to my nose. Though I should be smelling this in Spring. So clearly one of my trees is SO over winter.

But let's not dwell on the ups and downs and changing weather either. I mean, you can if you want to. Weather is always a popular and ever interesting topic, and because we are blenders we can even talk about how the weather was during our workouts. Or just tell me what workouts or rest plans you have going on today. I want to do the new pilates workout just to finish off my low impact week with a good ol' slow burn: https://www.fitnessblender.com/videos/ascending-rep-pilates-butt-and-thigh-workout-for-glute-activation-mat-pilates-flow

I've kept my whole week low impact after feeling better from my sickness. I'm taking this pretty slow, but next week I start Abs2 (with Kimberlee and Juliska) so I will be doing some more HIIT and cardio. This sort of ties in to this week's Fitness Friday because a lot of us in one way or another, in different degrees, have felt sick/under the weather. So my question is how do you workout when you're not 100 percent? ..I know sickness can vary, but overall have workouts helped or hurt? When I'm feeling bad I tend to just stop completely. Now that I'm much much better, I'm trying something new by working my way back slowly. So that's the other part of the question: How do you go about resuming your workouts if you didn't do them for a while? How long does it take before you are HIITing it up post sickness?

Well, that was a bit to digest. Let's go ahead and make this digesting thing literal and share what you will injest so we can peel our zest.

Orange you glad that's my one and only rhyme for you? ..Eh, lemon put these puns down and I'll try and be a little more serious, but I can't lime; It's hard to keep a straight face when I'm telling you that I'm making pizza for dinner! Because it makes me smile. So tell me your food that will make you smile today!

Alright, I want to say it's pizza time, but it's not time for that. It will be in due time, but for now it's time for me to remind you that our New Mexico living Blender Coby will be taking the helm on the Saturday and Sunday (February 1st & 2nd) check-ins. And because she's on Mountain time, the check-in will be up later than usual, but we will definitely still have one! So keep those eyes peeled for it!

Now I went in trying to ignore time, but now I've gone full time. It's just everywhere, flexing its muscles. Time for this, time for that. What matters is what we do with our time. Make it count, spice up food, wave as it passes by, or hold a plank. You all know time doesn't peel quite so fast during that fun exercise. But whatever you do with your time, try to mostly just enjoy it. Not always easy to do, I know. There's times you can't and that calls for a time out. So with all that said, I want to wish you all a great day and even better weekend.

Now it's just time for me to go.
