Well guys, how are we feeling on this post Christmas Friday Eve, start of Kwanzaa, continuation of Hanukkah, Boxing Day of a Check-in? A day with a lot of names right there, and surely missing some, but did you get or gift yourself something really nice yesterday? My Christmas was pretty good! Time spent with family, getting and giving gifts. Just a relaxing day with good food and even better company. So overall, a really nice day.
And maybe some of you are a bit sore after that 1000 calorie Christmas workout party? I know I am feeling it a bit all over, but really in the upper body. As to be expected when I pick one with upper body strength and kickboxing and Daniel is throwing out "Give it your all!" kinda vibes..End result; I believe a rest is in order, but what about everyone else? Resting up or maybe playing with some new workout toys?^^ ..Well, whatever is going on in the workout world, make it fun, make it good! And rest to be your best!
Oh yeah, and to follow up on what happens when you let a baby Eastern Redcedar grow up, you get many leaves that look like what's pictured here. Water drops not always included. They happened to be there for a nice effect.
By the way, despite what its name implies, Eastern Redcedars are not really a true cedar. It's actually a species of Juniper. Common name confusion aside, you don't need to know any of that to appreciate the aromatic wood and survivability of this conifir!
Now how about the different kinds of food we will be nom nomming on? #Realfood? #Notsorealfood? I'm going to try and make that Vegetarian West African Peanut stew that I didn't get to on Monday. So we'll see how that goes, but I hope everyone's enjoying their food today. Because food should be enjoyed! And if it makes us feel good, we've got ourselves a win-win situation going on.
Also a little note to insert here. Once again, I will not be doing this weekend's check-in (December 28th & 29th) because we have a line of guest hosts who will be flexing their unique check-in skills over the next few weekends.. Flexing said skills this weekend will be Kristina! As long as you're still good with it, Kristina; let us know and it will officially be official for you to be the next check-in guest host .. Hah, I keep wanting to combine the words, "guest" and "host," but then I'd just be calling you all ghosts, which really makes no sense.👻
Well, no good transitions today. Just jumping right into the topics at hand and doing this check-in thing. Not all check-ins can be that way. Or have a way. I'm more of a bored-easily writer. You (mostly) get something different every time. But read me long enough and I'll be your broken reccord, I'm sure. But here's a constant for you; Thanks a million for reading! Or should it be, thanks a billion? You know, because of my appreciation for you all is that much, and we have to account for inflation. Or the more obvious reason where FB recently passed that one billion view mark. Just, thank you.
Now go on; Somewhere in the world the day awaits and needs closure at the same time.
Daily Check-in: Thursday, December 26th
