Find What Works...for you

We know that many of you have probably seen this article before, "Not Seeing Results? Five Common Weight Loss Methods that Might Be Sabotaging Your Progress," but we wanted to share it again.

There is so much information (often competing information) out there that finding what works for you when it comes to exercise and nutrition is not easy.

We are all different. Our bodies respond differently to different things, and our perception and relationship with our bodies, exercise, and food are complex. We’re all operating from our unique place and perspective.

Since this is the case, one of the things that is most important is listening to your body and figuring out what works best for you. Part of this is also knowing when to modify your approach when something hasn’t been working.

Adapting your approach doesn’t make you a “failure” — it makes you resourceful and resilient!

So, without further ado, here are some very general thoughts on five common weight loss methods and why they may be holding you back. We’re not saying these methods don’t work for some people; we’re just saying that they may not work for everybody.

Our general rule of thumb is that if you’ve done one or more of these things for the last four months or more with no change in health, weight, body composition or energy levels, you may want to consider a change in strategy.

What do you think? We’d love to hear how you found what works for you...and what may not have worked.
