Building a sheep pen... first day βœ…

First day of our weekend nature conservation task.... building a sheep pen. This meant taking the new wooden posts and slats down from a trailer, loading the old wire (from an enormously long fence....) onto the trailer and hammering all the slats onto the new posts! Luckily they had a machine hammering the very heavy posts in. All in all a great task, although not quite finished. Probably more tomorrow. Rest of the afternoon we chopped and lopped old trees into smaller bits to put on a fire.

Photo top shows me hammering away (tongue out to increase my strength πŸ€ͺ this is in my genes... my dad always did the same thing, not the most elegant pic!), bottom right: lifting a roll of wire to take to the trailer, the roll of wire in the bottom left pic was waaay too heavy to lift, rolling it around on very uneven ground was a mighty interesting feat anyway! Talking about elegant: it’s a good thing nobody took a pic of me climbing onto the very high trailer to lift the wire in. I managed but certainly not in an elegant way! πŸ₯΄πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ€£
