Alternative exercises when you don't have a step, stair or bench

Hi, everyone!

I have a question and would be really thankful if someone could give me some advice :)

I'm currently doing FB Fit 2 and just saw that I would need a step, stair or bench for tomorrow's workout (lower body strength training). I've just checekd up and the exercises that require it are alternating step ups and side step ups.

Now to the actual question: I really don't have any bench/chair etc that is safe enough for me to do these exercises (specially with weights!). Does someone have suggestions of which exercises I could do instead? The idea is that I do an alternative exercise while Kelli is doing the actual one in the video.
