My name is Julie. I've been working out with Fitness Blender for roughly 1.5 years now and it's been a constant in my life ever since.
A friend of mine happened to find some of the videos when she was travelling, so on her recommendation I tried the same. Just a video here and there - my first one ever was this one: https://www.fitnessblender.com/videos/red-light-green-light-workout-glutes-abs-and-cardio-workout
It was tons of fun, I should try it again sometime. Haven't done it for ages.
When my final college exams came up and I had to follow a 100-day study plan averaging 8-10 hours a day (med school! Ugh), I simply didn't have any more energy to make daily choices about my workouts. So I took the next step and started to follow FB programmes. It was such a relief to get on the mat, click on my calendar and plod along with whatever it told me to do. That way working out became an immense stress relief for me, even more so than before. And so I stuck with the programmes.
So far, I have done FB Sweat, Booty, Fit, Bored Easily and Bodyweight. I took Bodyweight with me when I travelled for 4 months and had no opportunity to take my dumbbells. I did miss the heavy lifting though! Currently on is FB 30 Round 3, next one is going to be FB Burn. Yay :3
Stretching with Daniel (https://www.fitnessblender.com/videos/relaxing-total-body-stretching-workout-for-stress-relief-and-better-sleep-before-bed-stretches) also became routine when I was too wired from studying to fall asleep promptly.
I also love the vlogs. Especially Kelli's story struck a chord with me, since my body image has never been a healthy one and I'm only now beginning to focus on the strong, healthy aspect rather than the external/ skinny one. Yep, muscles look great, but I'm even happier that I can lift more weight more easily, that there is almost no more back pain when standing up for long hours, and so on.
A declaration of love for FB
