Daily Check-in: Fitness Friday, June 7th

How's it going everyone? It's finally Friday! We've nearly made it to the shores of the weekend. Go us! ..I was going share a sunrise picture with you guys, but I felt it just wouldn't be the same kind of sublime sunrise that we come to expect from no other than the Kim of Kims. (She totally spoils us!) ..I know by this point we might be experiencing some withdrawl from Kim photos, so instead of a substitute sunrise, I thought it would be a great idea to do a #FlashbackFriday photo! And that comes in the form of something very Florida.

You definitely wanted this over any subpar sunrise, no?

Kristina, remember a couple days ago when I mentioned a gator in my backyard? Well I went back through my older photos and found proof of said event! It was around two years ago now and I gotta say there's nothing quite like spotting a gator just passing through your backyard (without incident) one rainy late afternoon and mosquito filled summer day.

I'm not trying to convince you all to cross Florida off your vacation list, really, I swear. :P

Anyway, now that we got a warm up cardio with a gator pic, let's talk workouts. Let's get physical! Or we can hit the snooze button on that tune and get some rest. What's it going to be or what have you done today? ..Lower and upper body is talking to me so I think I'm due for some isolated core work! One with weights! Now let's venture into all things food. It is pretty much life after all. What are you craving or making? Today is all figured out for me: PIZZA!!!! Homemade pizza!!!! Excited as always for it if the extra exclamations didn't convince you of that But what about you, FB Fam? What's going to decorate the plate?

Oh and do you guys want to make it a #FitnessFriday? ..I know this is more of a Kim thing and she's super at it, but I've got a question that makes me think I could give this a one time shot..So here goes nothing!

We've looked at fitness in terms of working out and eating better based on eating real foods, macro ratios, and sugar consumption, things like that..But have you ever wondered about your salt/sodium intake?

Like with sugar I know it's not good or evil, but recently I've ditched the salt shaker and haven't been adding it in my cooking except for putting it in bread and even with that I've been able to use less.. It started as a means to support my dad who is trying to lower his blood pressure naturally..At first, things like eggs, rice, beans and veggies were tasting pretty bland, but after a couple weeks I've noticed the food has more flavors to it rather than just always tasting salt if that makes sense.. I know some things are enhanced with salt and I'm by no means restricting it. I won't avoid it if it's already in foods like cheese, fermented veggies and the occasional processed treats and meats. I've just noticed that ditching the added salt from a table shaker has me thinking more about how much salt I've been using. Oh and bloating has gone down considerably, so there's that!

So my question to you for #FitnessFriday is: How do you view salt as a factor to your fitness?

Ok, so thanks for reading all of that and replying to whatever you feel like here! I've talked long enough for now, so let's have a strong finish to the work week! Onward and upward! Let's do this! :D
