I am on fire today!

Hi y'all!

Today I woke up half an hour early and instead of just enjoying a lazy morning I thought it would be the perfect amount of time to squeeze in the workout from Day 2 Abs R2!

So I tiptoe into the dark living room (sun not up yet unfortunately), trying not to wake my honeybunny(he has another 4 hours of sleep left). Still yawning I roll out my mat, get on my lifting gloves because today is upper body and prepare my water bottle. Let's get this over with, at least if I do it now, I don't have to do it after work.

Warm up is okay, I feel a bit more awake now, time to get to the lifting. And oh boy, let me tell you. It must be my sleepy brain, not yet working correctly, deciding that today we are going to try and break ALL our records.

Not in the mood to argue with brain why that might not be the best idea after just waking up, body just complies and I am in for a ride:

Bicep curls? yeah, let's use 15 lbs for that. EZ. Lateral/Ventral raises? Muscles try to convince brain to go with the usual 3lbs. Brain is not having it, let's try 9lbs, after all, we can always drop weight.

Well... 45 seconds are not enough time to stop and drop, so brain wins this round. But after also winning the chest/overhead press with 18 lbs(3lbs more than usual), muscles are complaining a lot and try to convince brain to finally let them be.

Come on, brain says, it's just one more rep, one more round of pain, let's go up to 21 lbs for Pullovers.

Muscles: ...

Brain: It'll be fine!

Muscles...

Brain:..

Muscles: We hate you.

Finally rounds are done, so muscles can rela... what was that? Burnout round? Oh yeah, fun! So Brain is loving it, muscles are shaking, crying and begging for mercy.

By the time brain is listening, we are already cooling down and stretching.

Brain: See, not so bad after all.

Muscles: You know, we still have to go to work?

Brain: Oh..

Muscles: -.-

So I broke a lot of my personal records lifting, I feel great, but my muscles are burniiiiing! I will definitely feel this workout for a bit longer. Nevertheless, it is awesome! I know I will remember this workout whenever I don't feel like working out and hopefully be able to motivate myself.
