Daily Check-in: Monday, February 25th

This ice sure looks pretty on the spruce tree, but it is not fun to try to walk/drive on (especially when paired with high winds and drifting snow)!

Hello Blenders!

How are you all doing today? Did you have a good weekend?

My weekend was mostly indoors due to bad weather (but hey, at least we didn't lose power!). Seriously, this storm was nuts though! The winds were horrendous, they shut down major highways and the Mighty Mack at least twice yesterday (a huge chunk of ice fell off one of the towers and smashed a guy's windshield! 😱 Luckily he's ok!), and we've got some crazy deep snow drifts! Overall not a very fun weekend to be outside!

So instead, I did some cleaning, some yoga, wrestled with Furry Trainers. And then I was still feelin a bit pent up yesterday, so I decided to give Daniel's new kickboxing routine a try--and I loved it! It definitely packs a punch (no pun intended) in just 30 minutes! I think this'll be one I'll come back to often when I'm running short on time.

I might give this one a try about mid-week; I think I'll be needing a break then, and this'll be the perfect workout for that!

Are you guys working out today, or are you resting?

I'm starting off my third week of Fit Rd 2 with a total body strength and HIIT workout. That actually sounds kinda fun--it's one I haven't done in a while, so it'll be good to revisit it! And what about some good food to start off your Monday with?

I'm thinkin that this kind of gross weather we're having calls for a nice hot dish (or casserole)! Chicken and rice and broccoli sounds really good today--so that's what we're gonna do! (I'm already like waaayy too excited for supper haha)
