Hello dear blenders! How are you all today? I hope well :) I wanted to share with you a little life-victory that I experienced today.
So I have gone skiing for the first time in many years (and I was happy to say in my head 'get comfortable with the burn' while navigating a steep, icy slope...), but the cherry on top came later. After eating some good food I decided to make use of the hotel's facilities - swimming pool and saunas. And I must say, for the first time in forever, I felt completely at ease and comfortable with my body, in a swimsuit, around many other people.
Is it because I have achieved the so called perfect shape thanks to working out? No. I still have some jiggly parts and other imperfections. This victory was mental. Working out and taking care of my health gave me a great deal of respect for what my body can do now. I have built a considerable amount of strength and stamina, and make choices for my health. Somebody doesn't find the result aesthetically pleasing enough? Well, frankly, I couldn't care less anymore! :D It's a truly liberating feeling.
So thank you Kelli, Daniel, and all you awesome Blenders, for helping me find respect, acceptance and love for myself. Keep on rocking!
Non-scale victory!
