My biceps are the strongest and my shoulders have become a close second. But triceps? Ha! I have been lifting 5-6lbs per hand for the longest time with the single-arm tricep extension. Today, 6lbs felt light and I wasn’t getting a good burn during my 8 rep count. I thought, “hmmm... is it time!? Can it be that my tri’s are ready for an upgrade?” Honestly, I was hesitant. The next available increment was 9lbs (per hand). No way!
Well, yes way! My weaker arm struggled and could only complete 6/8 reps, but I gave it all I had! The mind to muscle phenomenon is no joke! I literally channeled energy to my triceps and could feel that energy as I powered through, one rep at a time, slow as a snail!
I’m so proud and I love that when you don’t obsess progress, just keep your head down and keep working, progress comes knocking with an unprecedented update. Yeah!
