Good morning FB Family,
We have some exciting news to share. As you know, your feedback has always been of enormous importance to us. One of the main things you have been asking us for is more content - of all kinds. With the goal of bringing you even more quality content, we are excited to announce that we are now looking for other health and fitness professionals to join the FB Team.
A little bit of our story
We created Fitness Blender over a decade ago on a shoestring budget, after both of our jobs had been heavily impacted by the 2008 recession. We wanted people to have access to reliable, unbiased fitness information, regardless of income or access to a gym. Ultimately, we wanted to share something that we were both passionate about, to help people live better, happier, and healthier lives.
We worked around the clock on Fitness Blender - outside of the hours of our regular jobs, when we probably should have been sleeping. After working quietly for three years, we were able to leave our regular jobs and devote ourselves to Fitness Blender completely. Six years in, we made our first ever hire, who is still with us. Eight years into being a business - about three years ago - we started building a small team, and today there are eight of us. We love our FB Team and know that without each individual’s expertise and support, Fitness Blender would not be what it is today.
Never in our wildest dreams did we imagine that eventually millions of people around the world would work out with us. Never in our wildest dreams did we imagine that it wouldn’t always be just the two of us - that we would someday be able to build a team of people who share the same vision we do. It took years, trial and error, and lots of patience. Even as we grew and realized some success, we had our ups and downs, but we stuck with it—and you stuck with us.
We are so proud, and genuinely humbled, that together we have built Fitness Blender into one of the most used, most trusted fitness resources online. Thank you, Fitness Blender family!
Even after more than 10 years in business, however, we very much feel like we are still just getting started. We have so many ideas that we would love to see come to fruition, and we have been listening carefully to you about what you’d like to see from us too, of course. From the annual feature surveys, to discussions with our Fitness Blender Advocates, to questions we ask as part of weekly Giveaways, to the many thoughtful Community posts you make, we are constantly listening. Thank you to everyone who has ever participated in helping us shape Fitness Blender.
Growing to meet your needs
Not surprisingly, the number one message we’re hearing is that you would like more content. More workout videos, more diverse training types, additional research-backed information on key health and wellness topics, more healthy, easy-to-use recipes, more nutrition information and meal plans, mental health resources, etc. So many great ideas. Which brings us to some exciting news for 2021 (and beyond).
We have been planning and setting the stage to build the Fitness Blender Team to be able to bring you additional, diverse, professional content. This doesn’t mean that we (Kelli and Daniel) are going away or doing any less, but it does mean that we will have more help! In fact, we are thrilled to finally be able to cover so many important topics that we’ve never had enough time to cover ourselves. Even better, we are turning to the experts to get it done. We have already started with our hundreds of whole foods recipes, and our new Expert category (featuring a Doctor of Physical Therapy and two Registered Dietitians), but throughout 2021, we will be adding more.
We are currently searching for:
Certified Personal Trainers
Physical Therapists
Mental Health Professionals

If you’re interested in one of these positions or know someone who might be, please share. Heads up; there will be more job postings to follow.
You might have noticed already that one of our first Experts, Kayla @ Fitness Blender, a very talented Doctor of Physical Therapy, has already been writing articles and interacting with our Community. We also have two great Registered Dietitians, Allie @ Fitness Blender and Natalia @ Fitness Blender (both of whom are long-time Fitness Blender users, by the way!), who have begun writing articles and answering questions on topics related to nutrition.
As we look for other health and fitness professionals to join our team, we will turn to our Community for feedback. Please be on the lookout for announcements, take a look at our new Jobs Page, and, as always, we’d love to hear your thoughts, concerns, ideas, and recommendations. Whether you’re brand new to FB, or you just clicked “workout complete” on your 2500th workout, thank you for being a part of this adventure! We are excited to continue building Fitness Blender with you.
Sincerely,
Kelli & Daniel
